I have had a life-long passion with painting. Originally, I studied at the West of England College of Art, and later acquired a Fine Art Degree at Reading University.
Whilst bringing up a family I became a freelance illustrator of children's and natural history books. I was also been the long-term illustrator of the educational reading scheme called 'New Way'. Over several years I visited India on many occasions and my art and life were influenced by the inspirational work of Sai Baba.
Whilst continuing as an illustrator and artist, exhibiting regularly, I also practised as an Art Therapist for 25 years, using my own skills to enable others to begin healing themselves through the creative process. Now that I have retired I devote myself to Batik and Oil painting and exhibit regulalry in Henley, Wokingham and Caversham and have had work accepted at the London Mall galleries.
Creating the illustrations for O Lanoo! represented an important stage on my own spiritual journey and I enjoyed re-discovering them in 2018 at a permanent exhibition organised by Viscountess, Lady Cowdray.

In 2024, Nina recorded her approach to art and - in particular - art therapy.
